“The third age of the world is known as Zaita Cagueca, “that which existed at the beginning of the universe.” In this age, the gods shaped Quyca, the world; Guatquyca, the world above; and Tynaquyca, the world below.”

Only the uncle and his nephew dwelled in that land, but one day they decided to create human beings. One took clay and shaped the body of a man; the other gathered reeds and fashioned the body of a woman. Delighted by their creation, they spent many hours forming new bodies. When there were enough of them, they breathed life into them, and thus their realm became populated.”
